Bio & Career

Laurie Pastor is a dynamic and versatile voice actor with a strong foundation in performance and storytelling. She trained primarily at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Voiceover Lab, where she continues to hone her craft, and recently completed the Improv Comedy program at the Upright Citizens Brigade, adding spontaneity and depth to her work.
Laurie has lived a life rich in travel, culture, and creativity. From crisscrossing the U.S., Canada, and Mexico in her youth, she developed an early appreciation for the idea that “travel is an education.” Her multicultural upbringing instilled in her a deep understanding of both Christian and Jewish traditions, while her family’s move to South Carolina helped her develop an authentic Southern accent that has proven useful in her acting work.

She’s a lifelong fan of classic films, especially silent films and the Film Noir era, and has a special affinity for 1940s fashion. For over a decade, she ran a side business collecting and selling vintage clothing from the 1930s through the 1960s.

Her personal interests are as varied as her career: she’s a skilled knitter and designer, enjoys gourmet cooking and baking, and practices swing dancing. A devoted baseball fan and history buff, Laurie brings curiosity, heart, and life experience to every role she steps into—on mic or off.

Born in Hollywood, Laurie began performing at an early age, taking on a wide range of roles in school and community theater. Her formal training includes studying acting for film and television with Roy London and at the Stella Adler Conservatory in Los Angeles. Over the years, she’s built a diverse on-camera resume that includes roles in soap operas, commercials, TV series, and feature films.

Laurie’s passion for storytelling shines through in her voice work. She was a regular volunteer with BookPALS, reading children’s books aloud in classrooms, and now brings that same joy and skill to her work as an audiobook narrator. While she has a particular love for children’s titles, she enjoys exploring a wide range of genres. Her professional voiceover career spans commercials, animation, eLearning, corporate narration, radio, and documentary film.
